Took a quick weekend trip to Joshua Tree with a couple of college friends, Cameron and Kate, this past December. One of the things I’ve looked forward to being back in the west coast is the close proximity to various types of landscapes, especially the desert. Roughly about a two-hour drive away from Los Angeles, heading to Joshua Tree was a quick and easy decision.
There is something special by being in the desert landscape during the winter. Maybe it’s the quality of light and the way the sun cuts through the mountains at a different angle. Or maybe it’s the weather that is much more manageable this time of the year. Regardless, we had a blast and I look forward to coming back for more.
Here are some film snapshots from our weekend. ■
